An Adult Workshop with Valerie Kirk

A rare opportunity to learn and enjoy a tapestry workshop in the UK from Scottish born, now Australia-based, tapestry weaver Valerie Kirk, whose stunning work features in Tapestry: Here & Now. Learn the techniques of knotting, wrapping, cut and loop pile, weaving on additional warps to create textured tapestry. Experiment with a variety of materials, colour and surface quality.
Valerie Kirk studied at Edinburgh College of Art, Goldsmiths College, University of London and Wollongong University, Australia. She has exhibited extensively and worked as a tapestry weaver at the Australian Tapestry Workshop, on community tapestry projects and residencies.
